Ein nüchterner weißer Raum — oder sind es viele?
Kühle TV-Geräte flackern live aus drei Ländern in das Bühnengeschehen hinein. Tänzer:innen verändern ihre Positionen in Sesseln, die zu ambivalenten Mitstreitern in der Frage um Macht und
Verunsicherung werden.
Bedrückende Bilder diffundieren durch eine weiße Membran und verbinden sich mit den tanzenden Protagonist:innen aus Indien, der Türkei und Deutschland — und langsam treten die Schauplätze ihrer persönlichen, gesellschaftlichen und kulturellen Grenzen in einen live virtuellen wie analog inszenierten Bühnendialog.
Ein choreografisch inszenierter Trialog über Macht, Bedrohung und ihre Zwischenwelten mit Tänzer:innen mit und ohne körperliche Besonderheiten aus Deutschland, Indien und der Türkei.
„inbetweenPOWER“, ist die neue internationale Tanztheater Produktion der DIN A 13 tanzcompany unter der künstlerischen Leitung der Choreografin Gerda König in Kooperation mit dem iranischen Choreografen Mehdi Farajpour, dem Komponisten Frank Schulte und dem Videoartist Jürgen Salzmann.
„inbetweenPOWER“ stellt künstlerisch die Frage, welchen Einfluss Gefühle von Angst und Bedrohung in Zeiten politischer und gesellschaftlicher Veränderungen auf die Menschen haben.
Im Mittelpunkt der choreografischen Auseinandersetzung stand das subjektive Gefühl der persönlich erlebten Einschränkung und Bedrohung, sowie der Angst vor dem Verlust der Unabhängigkeit und der Freiheit des Einzelnen.
Bedingt durch die Einschränkungen der Covid 19 Pandemie war „inbetween POWER“ auf einer weiteren inhaltlichen Ebene äußeren Faktoren der Restriktion unterlegen. - Für die künstlerische Inszenierung wurde diese Herausforderung als zusätzlichen gestalterischen wie inhaltlichen Kunstgriff genutzt. - Somit entstand die gesamte Produktion in drei Ländern auf 3 Bühnen - und wird als Inszenierung live auf dem deutschen Bühnenraum die derzeit bestehenden Grenzen virtuell zusammenfügen.

A single austere white room – or are there many?
TV sets flicker live scenes from three different countries on the stage.
Dancers reposition themselves in armchairs, which become ambivalent comrades in the issue of power and insecurity. Gloomy images diffuse through a white membrane and connect with the dancing protagonists from India, Turkey and Germany. The scenes of their personal social and cultural boundaries gradually enter into a live virtual as well as staged discourse.
A choreographically staged trialogue on power, intimidation and the realms between them with dancers with and without unique physical features from Germany, India and Turkey.
inbetweenPOWER is DIN A 13 tanz company‘s new international dance theatre production under the artistic direction of choreographer Gerda König in cooperation with the Iranian choreographer Mehdi Farajpour, the composer Frank Schulte and the video artist Jürgen Salzmann.
„inbetweenPOWER“ artistically addresses the issue of the influence that feelings of fear and intimidation have on people in times of political and social upheaval. The subjective perception of fear and intimidation differs from country to coun- try. It depends on the situation within the specific cultural context, whether this is e.g. the political system, tradition or even the influence of religion.
The subjective feeling of personally experienced limitation and intimidation, as well as the fear of losing one‘s independ- ence and freedom, formed the focus of the choreographic work. Research was carried out together with the selected dancers in their own living spaces. Emphasis here was placed on generating image and video material, which was then juxtaposed with the dance material during the development process.
The restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic additionally subjected inbetweenPOWER to external limiting factors on a whole other contextual level. – This challenge was implemented as an additional artifice of both design and content in staging the work. – The entire production was thus created on three stages in three countries and will virtually merge the boundaries currently in place as a live production on the German stage.
